Finished digging taters. Tilled up where they were and planted some yellow crookneck and zucchini squash, and some Roma 2 beans. Planted 2 kinds of lettuce, beets, turnips, kale, mustard and collard greens. Gathered the hen fruit, and just finished dinner off with some homegrown watermelon.
That’s about 2/3 of them, we brought in 3 more buckets after that picture and have 2 rows left to go. It’s a hot job at 90 degrees, but trying to get them up so I can till the ground, and get the last planting of beans out before rain comes.

I like fried okra too, if I’m at a restaurant that has it on the menu there’s a good chance I’m ordering it. My mother and grandmother also cooked a mixture of tomatoes, okra, and onions that was really good too.
