that's awesome, there was a pretty big movement in LA by urban gardners retilling the grass between sidewalk and street and planting veggies not to long ago too.
To true. I've pulled about 30 tomatoes to transplant with more left in mine to turn back in. Lol. Even the 5 gal buckets I was using to transfer dirt have 2' tall tomatoes now. :)
Thank you for these ideas. I'm planning on concreting a new pond for my ducks soon and was looking for some good ideas with it. Last season I used it to water my garden periodically.
Its always nice to see new growth in the beginning of the year. I have an apricot with a single fruit on it after 3 years. Dang deer are relentless here but now its good and safe.
Last years strawberries
In perspective this years are growing underneath it.
My artichoke
Snap peas coming up behind it.
Sunshine blue blueberry also with snap peas
Almost forgot. Boss has taken up root in these two boxes as well.
My pomegranate, nicely pruned on the bottom by the lorps lol...
If it is rust or leaf curl try actinovate. Full sun helps too. If it is crispy there are some insects that maybe at fault or even accidentally being splashed with water and sun burnt. Sometimes the simplest answer is the most over looked.
I remember this place I lived in about 10 or so years ago had the thickest blackberry growth in the back yard. I decided to clear it out one day and found a stunted apple tree. Lol. Couldn't even see it before. Curious to see how your trees turn out as well. Keep us posted.
talked to my local visitors center yesterday about the flower you described. There is an abundance of them on the scenic area of river near my home. Was told star thistle. Hope that helps. Tho looking at the picture now not sure if its the same.
Had a big toad and its family around the front of my house but only deer and birds in the compost. The occasional wild Turkey. But mostly little ones.
How did your first processing go? Sounds like you've had a pretty full schedule.
I have an English strain of thornless blackberry and was told they are highly suceptable to the molds from blackberries here in California
X2 haha I'm so wearing a cape if I ever get any sort of tractor.
I need a macloud those things are epic for breaking earth. And I seriously dig a lot. I really should just have a backhoe. In the process of moving dirt from 16 full 4x4x2 planter boxes. :(
