This update is cheating because I did it yesterday and forgot to add it to the thread - I transferred 8 lemon seedlings from our indoor grow light setup to pots outdoors. They seem quite happy! Today we were under severe thunderstorm warnings until about 2PM, but we didn't see the tiniest spit... -

In my experience, tomato seedlings are pretty hardy. The only time I've ever lost them outdoors was when it got under 30ish degrees, and they withered and died immediately. Anything over 32 they seemed to just solider on without any problems. Low 40s, I would guess, wouldn't be a problem... -
