I'm not a 100% sure on this, but you may need to physically pick her up so that she can stretch her legs & graze a little. She's definitely not going to want to, you need her to be healthy. I'd say about 10 mins is fine & then letting her get back to her nest. But, you might need a second...
Your flock isnt weird. Sometimes ducks/geese will try to mate with each other on occasion. There are a lot of similar stories like yours posted throughout this forum.
If you have 2 females, I dont think they'll know the difference as to whether or not the eggs are fertile - they may still go...
You need a minimum of 10 posts (i believe) in order to be able to upload pictures. Here are the instructions https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/619141/step-to-step-guide-on-how-to-upload-pictures-onto-the-byc-forum (you'll find that its easy once you do it a couple of times )
Not sure if you have 2 females or not... the sure fire way to know is if Clyde starts laying eggs in taht nest! My gander hasnt helped build a nest, but that doesnt mean that other ganders haven't done that. I have heard of males taking turns with females sitting on the nest.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy - I hadnt heard of people giving cayenne pepper to geese before. Does it do anything in particular? (like you mentioned garlic is a dewormer)

I agree with your analysis completely! I'm pretty sure the water evaporates. Will definitely have to wait until it dries up to deepen it. Its looking like an eye sore with those bushes running wild, and if my geese wont get in, at least it will be prettier to look at. My geese love puddles, they...
Our pond needs some serious work (at least thats what I think). It was dug in 2003 by the builders when they were elevating the grounds of what would become our house. Over time it has kind of filled in. I would describe it as bowl shaped, with the deepest part in the middle being maybe 4 feet...
Pretty pictures, MrsMagoo!!!
Look at all those leaves! Winter is in the air
Hahaha, look at them go!!
Is your pond deep? It looks shallow from this picture. I was debating on making our pond deeper because our geese wont get in it!! Plus we have a lot of over flow from the rain...
