Yeah, that was fun... No power for about 4 days.
Fortunately, we had prepped for about 5 days of being out, with water jugs galore.
At least the roads were basically clear and the bears decided not to visit while the fence was down, LOL!

I know people are coming around to "home-grown" food but they just don't want to do or have time for the work involved. Keep us posted on your progress, please.
You could try upping the protein in their diet a bit. Sometimes, that behavior is related to trying to get more protein in their diet. A can of tuna every few days and see if they stop? Make sure everyone has space too. Fingers crossed!
No idea. Murdoch's was gearing up for their chicks, so maybe some are closer, depending on where you live. I have had a mixed flock as well with no issues, but we also are not in a high Marek's area.
I put my tomatoes in the greenhouse, except for one, and I also got my water plant insulators in the mail, just in time for this weekend. Heavy snow and freezing temps...
but I am not burning down!
