The splash pullet wS just attacked by a very large raven. Her cockeral next to her came to her rescue. But they are just babies.
As I was running to help Pink shown here flogged the raven as it was tearing feathers out of the babies. He then raized hackles and stood his ground.

The first IDK breed is stunning! I am new to D'uccles I have a roo and 3 pullets. The blue and black are differentiated by the color in the tail? Either being black or blue?
If they were fighting them they would not have the lovely feathers and combs. As a teen in Oklahoma a farm I worked on raised fighting game birds. To fight the comb is razored off and the spurs are grown. The damage to the feather is extensive. This is a way to keep the tails from being damaged...
