From my understanding, yes, twins are possible. How ever, they are almost always not successful at hatching as the two chicks take up too much space inside the shell. We had a rescue bird about 18 months old begin to lay, normal healthy eggs, then randomly this one came, then nothing then back to normal eggs again! Have seen a few similar in here so I am glad we are not the only ones to get ones like it.
