I had bought some vitamin powder for chickens prior to this.. I think maybe it has electrolytes too.... but anyhow, I added that to the water.
The chick is doing good. Seems to have healed up... just a crusty little spot which will hopefully just drop off one day Actually, the one I worry...
Well, I haven't lost any yet. Houdini and the one with the belly thing seem smaller and not as energetic. But, time will tell. They seem good otherwise. Hanging out with the other chicks Taking naps, eating, drinking.
The one with the belly thing... her? name will be either Marie Antoinette...

Well, they are both still alive this morning. That little gal sure is spunky!!! I sure hope she makes it because she's a real trooper. She wants out and to be with the other chicks..... she keeps trying to jump out She's got the other one to keep her company, but I think she wants to explore...
Well, with dlhunicorn's help I got it off of the foot in one piece. Now I will just have to wait and see if it heals with no infection. The other little guy that hatched same time has a bloody navel I hope they pull through and I hope they were the only ones like this! Don't know how many...
One of my Ameraucana chicks just hatched with what appears to be part of it's intestine wrapped around it's foot!!!????? I tried to get as good of pics as I could! Am I right? If so I will cull immediately! Is it possible for this chick to survive? Is it just part of the yolk??????? I can't slip...
