when i started it was all flower/ plant names...dahlia, daisy, etc, then i branched out...one is named Dumpling another Dixie after my Aunt. i have Summer and Spring, Olive is an olive egger, gold sexlinks are Scarlet and Grace, i have a lily, Ginger, pickles is a frizzle bantam...- joydix

one roo i had we named TRACTOR. when he became too much for our neighbors...we took him to a feed store to find a home. i think the name had a lot to do with it but he was gone almost immediately ! he was a bantam so it was not for food! i had also posted on craigs list and had like 10...- joydix

that was a cute story...we have a joke in our neighborhood about free dogs and cats...people would give them away in front of safeway market...and they were NEVER free...always some reason why the animal wound up costing one of us a BUNCH!- joydix

Thanks! it is a colorful flock for sure but truthfully.....its the basic chickens i like the most...buff orp, welsummer (even tho not as friendly). i want a buckeye this year...When i get older and have a smaller flock i would DEF keep a bantam cochin which might be one of my all time favs. love...- joydix
