looks like a pullet...take a piece of paper and place it under the 3-4 of the hackles they should be wide and rounded as it looks like they are in the pics- hdowden

do you have new pics? i see it does have some dark red patches on the wings but they are really hard to see in the pics, those patches could indicate that it is a cockerel...it maybe a black copper marans (not the french type though)- hdowden
