Here all these years i have been saying oh no MORe of those #$%## things! .I read the roots will grow a plant even if you take the green off, pull it out of the ground if a bit of root is left.. That they have more than one way to propogate besides seeds...possibly even through the leaf?

OH no WAY!!!! That is unbeliveable.!!40%? The sprouting website said the wheat seeds were viable for 6 weeks. thinkthey are a little off?

Karen Thanks for the aritcles..Now to find the oats!. Good idea, buy to plant Fodder... not as a whole food .Makes sense. Still 1 " per day seems like a treat not a portion of their diet. Not sayng it doesnt say that ...just doesnt seem enough to save any money on feed.

.I have read plants often have a long germination in case some year there is a drought Save the species can last to grow again....but had NO idea any plant could germinate after THIS long. Now I wonder how long they would still germinate? Maybe have to save some back for a few more years...

Yes it will. I have had BOSS for wild birds turn into sunflowers under the feeder. I addded some to my wheat seeds .Only thing is day 7 most of it was just opening and didnt have any leaves yet.The wheat was 3 inches tall. Notice the BOSS just opening center

AHHH this is what i wondered!I have sprouted iris seedsand daylily and a few flower and didnt need light until you see green. Wasnt sure about grass. I wonder if some air circulation would be helpful. there is a fungus that rots the stem of daylilys that can be avoided with a little some air...

I bet some nurseries where you get grass seed. Lots of them sell in bulk.Also might get some free or cheap flats there too. I got my wheat at the feed store.
