.I read the roots will grow a plant even if you take the green off, pull it out of the ground if a bit of root is left..
That they have more than one way to propogate besides seeds...possibly even through the leaf?

.I have read plants often have a long germination in case some year there is a drought Save the species can last to grow again....but had NO idea any plant could germinate after THIS long.
Now I wonder how long they would still germinate?
Maybe have to save some back for a few more years...

I have had BOSS for wild birds turn into sunflowers under the feeder.
I addded some to my wheat seeds .Only thing is day 7 most of it was just opening and didnt have any leaves yet.The wheat was 3 inches tall.

Got so excited over this i went out Sat to the feed store got the wheat and sunflower seeds ..$2 for 5 lb wheat..
80 cents for a lb of sunflower seeds

I give my chickens oatmeal.Just Quaker so not sure if its organic guess not but if you fed both together seems like a winner. Sunflower seeds have a lot of fat in them too,My wild bird prefer them to other seed for cold weather but in spring eat the lighter fat grains more often

AHHH this is what i wondered!I have sprouted iris seedsand daylily and a few flower and didnt need light until you see green.
Wasnt sure about grass.
I wonder if some air circulation would be helpful. there is a fungus that rots the stem of daylilys that can be avoided with a little some air...
I bet some nurseries where you get grass seed. Lots of them sell in bulk.Also might get some free or cheap flats there too.
