The information I did find said EE aren't really a breed which is why I explained to her she needs to pick one of our flocks that is recognized - of course she chose the Splash Orpington, we have Blues as well -
The EE's really isn't a breed we deal with we just decided to keep a flock of them...
Do you know if she keeps up with it later if the IBO is accepted in show - I know Splash isn't acknowledged but we have Blues that are -
Thank you - does the EE have to be a specific color? Dad is a Red and Mom is white
That I'm aware of they are EE , they were free chicks on a shipment we...
My daughter decided she would like to do 4-H and show chickens. She chose our Imported British Splash Orpington - I was wondering as a youth at least if she is able to show them. I can not seem to find any information if they are allowed or not.
Also if anyone has one that has been shown to...
Anyone know of a Mobile Butcher around the Marysville area or works in the Marysville area- that deals with chickens and turkeys - we want to start having our own poultry processed - I know I've seen some just don't remember names
Been busy setting up a new pen situation for all our hatched chicks - bantams and the LF Cochins are now in their upgraded areas- we do apparently have to divide and conquer the mass roosters in out bantam bunch, those will go into their own pen until we pick out which ones we want, then rest...
Daddy's parents were Red Cochin papa and Lavender Orpington, so hoping he had the LAV gene I put him back to my LAVs and sure enough at least the 3 LAVs hatched - 2 more eggs to go under momma and then the 12 to hatch the 10th - sooooo crossing fingers I get more LAVs to put back to him
My broody momma have started hatching- I decided to let my 2 frizzle hens hatch their remaining eggs 3 since the one esp has insisted on hatching air-
They both decided to plant themselves in 1 box and hatch out the eggs, the one with her bare back she was the only one available for a while...
So we had a rude change of events that just killed all that we had set up for and prepared our plans. We now have been looking for new property to relocate to- originally our plans were ok by codes, zones etc. but apparently as of May it all went down the toilet with no notice, or anything that...
Awe:( wonder if have them tested? Possible illness?
That just makes no sense, besides a hidden illness I would think. Hopefully your others stay strong and make it.
Agreed- someone has a injury somewhere or they caught a critter- plucked feathers can bleed pretty good, beak injuries, combs - being that's a puddle I'd look for bigger injury if it's that case or look for signs of critter

Watch out for them lil buggers for sure
So out of the chicks we've hatched all happy healthy- our Lavenders have dropped in numbers - went from 39 Lavs to 18. Someone today came to pick out 11 and tomorrow have an appointment for a lady to pick out 11 LF Cochins -
Also received my Washington state UBI number yay! Just have one more...
Our adult cat leaves them alone - the youngster thought it was fun to chase them for a bit- but I guess it's not fun no more because he really hasn't in a while unless one of the roosters chased him back
