X2. For the money, yes. The Incuview blows all the others away. And they have a discussion right here on BYC! https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/852619/incuview-incubator
Even with the incuview there is a learning curve. And, with more expensive incubators the learning curve might be less...
Today. Most of the chicks are growing pretty fast. We have a runt who was indistinguishable from the other Jersey Giants at hatch, but developed what looks like a hernia or something about four hours after hatch. (I checked for open navels or any other deformity at hatch and spotted nothing odd...
Three day old chicks. They spent the night in the wool hen. This is only the third time I have tried a wool hen, and these are the youngest chicks I have had outside with no heat lamp. These chicks are three days old and they have been outside 24 hours straight in 60 - 70 degree weather. There...

Agreed. Asking is always the best policy.
I think patronizing is when someone says "Here, let me do that" or, they don't even ask...
As far as the creepy "helpful" guys, it's not even that they ask to help. They pretty much trip all over themselves in a creepy way. Y'know.. like you're the...
Well, ski poles look very similar. But aren't designed for the purpose that trekking poles are. So... yeah... I'll stick with my trekking poles. :D
Yeah. I've been using those motorized carts at stores. On one level it's fun. On another level, I feel I need to keep my sticks visible so as...
