Yup!! I named two of mine Thelma and Louise. They're young pullets and take off the second the coop door opens up. Those little crests on top of their heads all I see, off the road runners go.
Yes, he's the Cream Legbar from Triplell and Judy, too. I do have some pails, maybe through I should try old Tidy Cat litter ones for her as a transition, still a bit trashy, wouldn't want to go to fancy from her Oscar the Grouch trash can too fast!
Hi all! I haven't stopped in for awhile but wanted to show you my hen from Triplell, Judy, she's been so funny. I adore her. She thinks she's a robin I think, up in the bird feeder. ;)

I never thought of Christmas lights. I've heard of the predator light box, I think made in Princeton or maybe Zimmerman? But Christmas lights are a great idea! Some strings you can unscrew bulbs and the rest stay on, maybe you could have "eyes" on all four sides. I think the box company suggests...
@Minniechickmama the bird story, imagined in my head play-by-play with the dogs is hilarious!
The weasel, awful!! I'm so so sorry. Especially after the lost hatches. How sad to come out and see so many dead hens. I can't understand why one isn't enough for one weasel. Sometimes when I've...
Yikes!!! I was in my dad's camper camping in Chippewa Natl Forest and woke when I heard a racket outside in the middle of the night. Everyone was gone over to another campsite at a bonfire and not back. I hollered fatigued rambling out the window thinking it was raccoons and thought they'd run...
