I NEED EVERYONE'S ADVICE. I AM SOOOOO CONFUSED. Is this little ducky a Muscovy. . . or a wood duck? HHEELLPPP. You can see how big it is . . . because those hands are medium sized. Someone told me it was a muscovy, then someone told me it was a wood duck! Which one is it?

Awwe. That's so sad. I had many of my chickens killed my possums so I know how that feels. Only, I wasn't attached to them as much as it sounds like you are to yours. Tell your rooster, Bert not to be too sad. :( It will be OK. :P I don't blame you for crying. I cried to when one of my little...

I brought one of my ducks inside and I noticed she had black/white stuff on the edge of her feet. Luckily, it's not very much right now, my biggest concern is that it would get worse and something like what happened to your duck would happen. :| I've never owned a duck in the winter before so I...

I noticed that my ducks got a little frostbite on their feet... I'm worried. Is there anything to treat frostbite, or will I just have to let it do what it does? :(

Oh not too big. Just a little slit. Once I think one of the ducks stepped on a freshly laid egg and it broke open and of course I didn't eat that. The reason I eat the other cracked eggs is because you cook the eggs so all the bacteria gets burned out. I think it's OK.

Yeah. I can't wait for tick and mosquito season ether! My ducks are laying every day, and even though the eggs are frozen solid... we take them inside and thaw them out and they are good as new! I don't see why you should throw them out.:(

Do you really have to be this cautious about chickens and cold... ? I don't have any heat lamps in my coop.... but I do have eight chickens and six ducks who snuggle together to keep warm. Is a heat lamp really that much needed with chickens????????
