A Red-tail got one of my barred rocks several months back, and coons claimed four of them last year... Hawks are hard to manage, but the coons I trapped, and then put electric fence up all thru the coop, top to bottom, also put a radio in the main barn and left it on 24/7... since then... no...- Farmer-John

INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!
I live in SouthEastern Indiana and i have 6 month old that have been laying for over a month.. I put a 40watt light bulb in the coo, turn it on to give them extended "day light" approx. 12 hours worth. My old layers which are in a separate coop, mesh wall inbetween coops started producing twice...- Farmer-John
