so the horse bedding is better for brooders....rather then pine shavings...i like sand...how long have you used the horse bedding...and how long does it last...
the show filthy riches im going to look into...cause there is alot of morels up here...anyone would like to chat....wink wink...about...
i would agree with you....seems to me that most of the inbred show quality barred rocks come out male...i have gotten day olds...most of them are males...and hatched some from a different person...and most of them seems to be males...i was told to let them grow out and pick the best male...might...
hello everyone...been a while...thought i would stop in and say hi...hope all is well....here are some pics
was curious...what kind of quail is this...i bought jumbo browns and six of these birds hatched...
this is the jumbo brown
here are the two next to each other
red golden pheasants...
most big breeders that have birds...worm their birds twice a year...they dont have time to do fecals and such...when they have a routine...and when dealing with lots of birds...you cant take the chance on not worming because you dont think they have something...that is why i worm mine...i have...
just throwing this out there...but just because you cant see worms doesnt mean they dont have them...as there are many types of worms....and different types take different amounts of wormers...some worms you cant see as well....and if you never had a fecal done you truly dont know if they are...

ellymayrans...that is not cool they sent you something you didnt ordered...they should send you a replacement for the birds or refund your money...seems like this is happening quite often with hatcheries...i to have someone i know that ordered from a hatchery and didnt get the right order.
i would agree....great looking bird...looks to be healthy for sure...
i also got one of those messages and everyone on this thread is so awesome....dont forget to check out my forum and post...havent seen very many peeps from indiana on there....anyways figured i would share some pics from...
dont forget to get tek trol...it kills many forms of ai....and many other diseases...spray on everything..hatchers, brooders, coops nest boxes...you name it...even eggs before you put them in the hatch...this is one way you can help prevent the spread of something like this...the question is how...
there is hardware cloth on the front back and over the tops...it wasnt easy but sure predator proof...going to add about 8 inches of sand in it to seal the deal
