I've got nipples they figured it out the same day once I stopped watering in a tub,,, I have mine about 18'' off the ground mine is outside

'Stealing eggs' as I understand it is laying them outside of the egg boxes that they're supposed to where you can't find them then sitting on/ hatching them I've had two hens do this its cute but now I have to find them and the babies since they should be hatching soon... I let one hatch inside...

@Mother2Hens thanks for the advice! I've got them on non medicated chick starter already and I'm loving the mother and her babies they're so cute!

that's a good plan vanilla has a lot of advantages tbh...it's not very messy it doesn't smell bad and it works!

They are terrible creatures, unless there's another way for them to get up I don't think they could scale metal

I've used everything from canned fish to marshmallows and from what I've seen most things I've tried work so no worries there... I wouldn't worry about a cat, I've never heard of anyone catching cats in do traps there design is pretty effective so no worries ;)

I had my first broody hen hatch today! 8/9 and thinking 9 will be tomorrow! Any advice is much appreciated! Lol

Wow lol yea I don't think they'd return from that I trapped a lot a few years and never got anything bad but conabears scare me in that sense

Where do you take them to release them? I've heard they can find there way back, and don't want to risk that, to each his own lol

I use dog proof, it works great as long as you're not trying to catch and release... Never caught any domestic animal in one

Been so so so busy lately... I have 3/6 of my SS broody right now!!! 2 are missing and I only see every couple days when they come around for food, the other is in the coup... Does anyone on here raise good BLUE eggs? If so can you please pm me? My current blue eggs aren't very dark and are more...
