Yep, that's me! I don't know what happened with those birds, but all is better now. I've gotten rid of all of my Silkies except the one that i got from you, Rosie. I'll never part with her! My girls love her. They were picked as students of the month at day care (4 years old) and the pics...
So frustrated...
Orscheln was supposed to get chicks yesterday, then they said the shipment wouldn't come until today. I went up there and now they don't know when they'll get them.
I think Mareks because of the twisted necks. From what I've read the neurological symptoms of head turning, walking backwards in circles and blindness point to Mareks. The one quarantined Silkie has all 3 of those. That being said, she's still alive. The dead ones had twisted necks also...
Has anyone had necropsy done in MO? I went outside just now and found 3 dead birds. I think it's Mareks, but unsure. I have one bird that shows the signs of Mareks and she's been quarantined since symptoms arrived, but she's still alive. The three that died never showed symptoms, but were...
Mine is a Blue Heeler. Best dog I've ever had, just not good with the birds. She was always fine with them when I was around, I left her alone with them once and she'd killed 3 of them and laid them in a row for me to see how good she had done on the hunt. Didn't even eat them. I put her in...
Awesome, I'm glad he is. You're his third BYC owner. Out of the 6 chicks I bought from Roxanne only 1 is female lol. I'd love to find homes for the rest.
I'll check with her and see, thanks.
I have 10 Cornish X's from Cackle now. Those are the dumbest **** animals I've ever seen. I won't know if it'll be worth the hassle of them until I eat one lol. I've wanted Dorkings for a while just to try them.
I do want the dorking for their table qualities. I'd love the bresse, but they're too pricey as I probably won't be breeding, just wanting some straight run chicks.
Maybe if I put them in the nest boxes and open and close the door like a carnival ride they'll give me more eggs!!
Seriously though, I can see in the nest boxes from the front and see if they're occupied. There will only be 2 hens in this coop.
