I think Mareks because of the twisted necks. From what I've read the neurological symptoms of head turning, walking backwards in circles and blindness point to Mareks. The one quarantined Silkie has all 3 of those. That being said, she's still alive. The dead ones had twisted necks also...

I do want the dorking for their table qualities. I'd love the bresse, but they're too pricey as I probably won't be breeding, just wanting some straight run chicks.

Maybe if I put them in the nest boxes and open and close the door like a carnival ride they'll give me more eggs!! Seriously though, I can see in the nest boxes from the front and see if they're occupied. There will only be 2 hens in this coop.

Weekend project complete! Instead of making a hinged top to the nest box I made the entire back into a door for easy cleaning.
