I had a hatchery brahma rooster, that was supposed to be a sexed pullet. He was mean. He would fly at you with his spurs, we finally got rid of him after he ripped two of the hen's sides open by over breeding them, even when they had saddles on. His spurs were blunt and only half an inch long...
This little gold laced brahma is 11-12 weeks old. Im thinking cockerel, but wanted a second opinion. It doesn't have much of a tail yet, and is just starting to get feathers on the back. (has about 6-7 feathers partially in, with about 10 pin feathers) I know they are a slow growing breed...
I had one on my polish, no matter how tight i had it, he was still the same loudness, and I had to pick it up and put it back on him every couple of days. It eventually got lost in the mud after a rain, still hiding in there somewhere, it got buried. Was a waste of money for me.
I just pulled out the first four because the 5th has a little unabsorbed yolk still, pipped and completely hatched in about an hour an a half. The first four were pecking at everything, and were already eating the little bit of food I put in there, so I didn't want them pecking the yolk...
Ok so I have laced brahma eggs hatching right now. The colors include Buff Laced, Gold Laced, Silver Laced, Black Laced Red,Blue Laced Red, Blue Laced Gold, so is this chick buff laced or white? Probably cant tell yet, but thought I would ask.
The farm I got the eggs from also have white...
I named my first light brahma rooster, Shiro, which means white in Japanese, cause he was plain white as a chick. Not that creative but after he became aggressive, we just called him demon chicken, and his son who also became aggressive was demon chicken child jr the second. The rooster was sold...
Gardstar Garden Poultry Dust. The fineness of it gets in the mites exoskeleton and kills them. After i dusted them with it, you could see the mites jumping off trying to escape, but I havent seen any since them, I check every couple of days now, but I think im in the clear.
Took my brahmas out today since it was nice and sunny. (and a speckled sussex and a swedish flower). 12 light brahma and 1 gold laced. Hoping i can 3-4 get some half decent lights from them, type wise, not concerned about color.
And some older ones that got to go out for the second time...
Im really liking my little gold laced brahma, can't wait til all the feathers grow in, and I am some hatching today, so hopefully will have more than just this one by tomorrow. 'He' is 5 weeks old now.

My chicks have grown so big now. Took them outside for the first time today and they really liked it, the silvers were hesitant at first, but soon began chasing after each other.
Here's they are with the d'uccle chicks, which also had their first day outside.
Here's my 4- 20-ish day old buggers. These guys are massive, as big as my 4 week old salmon faverolles. They are starting to want to fly a bit, so I need to upgrade their brooder to a bigger size, need to clean it out with some bleach solution tomorrow. These 4 guys are some of the silliest...
Sorry I meant 4 chicks out of five are in the pictures the last one is in the bator. And now its currently 4 silver laced and 2 blue laced reds.
ETA: One of the silvers died while i was at classes, it was one that got stuck half way through zipping, even with the humidity at 75, the membrane...
Heres 4/5 brahma chicks that have hatched so far, last one is still drying in the bator. So far 3 silver laced, and 2 blue laced reds. Hopefully they continue hatching. Most active day olds that I have had in a while. And these guys are extra fluffy from any chicks that I have hatched before...
