Thank you, casportpony, good to know others have same problems. Maybe I take it too hard and must adjust to the fact all will not hatch no matter what I do. 2weeks ago I had one hatch 2days early on the turner and was horrified when I found it so afraid it was hurt, but it is strong, loud and...
Thank you, there is not a fan in the little giant I use for hatching that is why I was so concerned about the humidity. I may have dampen it soon. Just want to avoid this happening again if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

My pea chicks are so dry when trying to come out of shell. Humidity stays between 60-69, but feathers look and feel dried out. One is trying to come out now but struggling. I need help to get humidity right for incubating and hatching. Saw a chart saying keep both over 80 then some say between...

For incubating and am using my little giant to hatch. I have a hydrometer.
Help, a chick began to hatch yesterday morning and all was fine around midnight last- saw movement and heard chirps. This morning even thought more shell was off movement and sound had stopped and the chick looks dried out inside the shell- I think it died. Now another has begun to pip and I...
24days wow! I didn't know they would come that early. When do you stop turning? I am going by a chart I found online that says stop turning at 26days. Hatch has not been as good as hoped that's why I came to the experts here today. Thanks for the information.
Frenchblackcopper, thanks for the reply. In the incubator w/turner they candled fine, but when placed in the hatching incubator without turner they sometimes simply do not hatch within a few days of the 28th day. Is 30 days long enough to give them a chance to see if they will hatch then remove...
How long do you wait to take an egg from the incubator if it doesn't hatch? I want to allow them a few days, but my husband thinks I should just keep them awhile longer like a week or more. I worry bacteria will hurt the other eggs trying to hatch.
