Okay thanks. I think it seems so shocking to me because in the brooder next to the 2 day old bantams, I have a 5 week old Plymouth rock and. 5 week old mallard. Who else got some 2013 chicks?!
So this is gonna sound crazy but I just got two more chicks that are two days old. They seem to sleep a lot! I'm concerned. I can't find anything in my books about it. My other ones were a week old when I got them and I remember them bring more active. The new ones are a silkie and a Polish- megan80568

Mine is about 3 weeks old and still seems so small. Eating and drinking fine, butt is fine. I don't know if its because I have a duck with her that is growing insanely fast or what.- megan80568

Thanks So much for the tip. Both Love the scrambled eggs so much that I have to almost separate them so they each can get a fair share. It has helped my chick become much less people shy.- megan80568

I just got my first chick and duck from my friend. I don't know how old they are. She got them from tractor supply. Are there any treats I can give them sparingly to help them bond?- megan80568

I'm reading through so many posts and I'm so torn. I was wanting a duck.but I've been reading that chickens are much cleaner and can be just as friendly. I'm looking for 2 of either or a good combo that are egg layers. I'm so in between and Not sure How.to decide. I don't wanna overwhelm...- megan80568
