    I have become convinced that they do not need to be as hot as we have been told. By the third week, they often sleep on top of mine! Enjoy the new chicks.

    It depends on how big the chicks are. I can get 20 silkies under there for six wees. Heritage RIRs on the other had, about 3 weeks.

    Mine feather fine under the eco Glow. There are slow and fast feathering breeds.
