    jannakaye, that makes me nervous, a possum. Altho I have never seen ours out during the day.. I usually like the smarter animals the best! Even if they're more likely to figure out how to get into trouble :)

    Wow, horror indeed! Do you think Alexis might have had an easier way to escape if she was outside of a yard?? Interesting. I'm in the city, so luckily, during the daytime we don't really have predators unless a cat could get a smaller bird.

    Jannakaye, are you saying a cat could kill a mallard (adult female)? I'm not worried about being buddies, I just don't want a stray cat to eat her during the daytime.     Hi mallard people, could you help me out? How loud are mallards compared to most ducks? compared to quiet breeds like Cayuga? Also, are cats a threat to mallards during the daytime? And what if their wing feathers are clipped? Thanks so much
