I know that when you process a chicken, you will find a sharp protrusion on the wing tip, Bone, claw, whatever - it's there. I've never tried to find out if I can feel it poking through the feathers on my live chickens or not. But - whether they have claws on their wings or not, they DO grow...- bobbi-j

I don't think you're being rude. A bit naive, but not rude. Ducks don't have spurs or sharp beaks. I suppose their wings could leave a bruise. As far as holding all your chickens while they're chicks, well, that's not always the best plan either. Because then the rooster thinks he's on the same...- bobbi-j

If you don't want to "re-home" (i.e. dump your problem rooster off on someone else) him or eat him, your only options are to continue to get attacked, have your turkeys injured, and not let any small children come visit your yard or to build a pen for him in which case he won't be out protecting...- bobbi-j
