Well I only have the one female Pekin but her eggs are white-white (that's southern for "really white";) )
Oh this ending just warms my heart. Please post pics!!!
Awww dang. C'mon, Donnie!! Keep your beak up! :)
Edit: yes, pls find him a friend quick. I know you're working on it.. I cannot WAIT to see how he looks when he sees a new friend. :D
I had two males until I got my female. They were just fine but they are free range. Not sure about being penned up. They're still buddies even with the female here.
I'm sonsorry but yoi have done all you can do. You've done great though I know it doesn't feel like it. Ever since Amiga said maybe tumor? That's all I see when I look at the pic. It looks like an angry, mottled tumor. Buy we may never know.
As for a new mate, the first thing I thought was...
What kind of smell? Poop smell, or necrotizing smell?
Ooh Amiga- if that's not dirt/crust on there, you may be onto something. Look at that coloring and surface. Ugh. I wish I knew what to say.
Do you know that this just happened? I'm about to tap out. I'm not sure what to do. If it weren't all having to come out the same hole I'd say try and wet dress it and give the dust some time to settle.. But I can't make sense of what I'm seeing and it sounds like you are having a hard time too...
Okay. Is that dirt on there? Or is it just crusty? And is that a lip I see around the edge? Like, the starting of where this needs to go back into? Ugh.
Edit: that's not an opening, the middle of the crusty part? It looks like it all "comes together" in that area but may just be the pic.
Yes. No drinking the salt! :)
And on that note, I don't think she should eat/drink for now like you asked.. It does all have to come out the same place.
Yes. Try to get lubricant up in there. If you have a medicine syringe with a plunger that would be great, or just a dropper. But if not clean hands will work. Disclaimer, I've not done this like I said, and I hope if someone has they will take over-- but I'm telling you what I would do were it...
Wait- I wonder if there is no opening? Maybe this is just a LOOP hanging out, if you're not seeing an openin that'd have to be it. In that case, it ALL has to go back inside. Egg and all.
What we mean by end of the tube.. There has to be an "exit point" there somewhere. That's what usually spits the egg OUT, but generally this part stays IN the duck. In a perfect world, of course.
