    Feathering has nothing to do with it right now. The lamp is really screwing with the colours of the photo. Both combs look small. Did they come sexed?

    That's a boy. A female would have consistent pattern throughout the feathers, and no comb to speak of.

    It's younger than the first one by the looks of it. The colouring in the picture isn't great. Deep red in wings is sign of rooster. Girls typically tend to be very commonly patterned the same. Like so

    By this age? Colour and pattern are usually pretty good indicators. I'm assuming we are talking about Easter Eggers and not true Ameraucanas.
