@rancher hicks That looks awesome. However it is more work than I can do. I no longer even plant a garden. I just go down the road to Magicland and get my produce. I even mentioned to them that I sure would like it if they would plant some collards. They didn't know what that was
Congrats!
Today I did 22 pints of green beans [now I have 63 pints done], 7 pints of sweet chip pickles and 6 quarts of dill pickles. And made a cherry crisp for dessert
Oh WOW! I will be heading to South Carolina next week so hopefully I can get some then.
I was lucky enough to get some canning tomatoes from the local farm stand and just put the last batch in the canner. I was worried that I would not be able to get any before I left for my trip.

I would like to try the orange scented applesauce too. Sounds interesting.
I have a recipe for Jack Daniels apple butter, my favorite. I will try to post later when my work is done. I have to look through my recipes to find it.
Mind didn't to well either.. oh wait... I didn't plant anything. I got mine at the local farmstand. They were selling them 40 for $4.
Those pickles look great. So does all of the jams. I wish I could get muscadines here.
I got 8 more quarts of dill pickles done and 7 more pints of sweet chip...
Looks good! What recipe are you using?
I did 6 &1/2 quarts of dill pickles last night and I have a gallon of sliced pickles in brine to make more sweet chip pickles.
Have you tried craigs list or goodwill/thrift stores? I would recommend getting the Ball Blue Book on canning. It's a great help for beginners. I had a friend show me how to can tomatoes 20 some years ago and that was a great help to me. I just started with jams and such in the last 10 years or...
Thanks Nova I know I read about it somewhere and I am trying it today. Just put 6 quarts in the oven. I left the other 1 & a half in the pantry as I am sure it will get used before it goes bad.
Seems like I remember reading on here that you can can flour and dry goods. Can you do that with pancake mix? I just bought a 10 lb bag of krusteez and since it's just DH and I, I want to either freeze it or if possible, can it. I am running out of room in the freezer.
DH and I picked 32 lbs of blueberries this morning. Last week I picked 18 lbs but used most of that for jam and syrup. I think I am going to put what we got today in the freezer.

2 quarts of blueberries
6 cups water divided
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
3 cups sugar
