I had a round of soft egg laying when I seperated my flock for breeding. I assumed it was stress. It lasted about a week, got about 5 soft eggs from the 20 hens and then it quit, they've been fine since. If they're just begining to lay, I'd bet that's what's going on. They'll settle down soon...
