I dont know if they are fire ants or not but we have seen several very large mounds of huge red ants both here and Wv. And the Shenandoah national park says they have themwhich is in my backyard. The mounds are about 2 feet around and a foot high. And those jokers are mean.
NO NO NO! lol Though Brunswick is just a quick sprint away its still mostly seperate from most of Northern Va and Loudoun County in general. It has not quite got the influx of city transplants from DC and MD thathas ruined most of Loudoun and NOVA. At least not yet! lol

Yeah we had 5 inches a couple of weeks ago but nothing since and it has dried up quick. We are stuck between 4 mountain sytems and the rain breaks up over us alot then reforms over central and eastern va. Kinda stinks. lol

There is a chicken/poultry/goat / anything else you wanna bring swap, at the TSC in woodstock va on June 21st. We go every month and got some great deals. As well as sold quite a few things. They also have plant, food and craft vendors set up there selling all sorts of farm goodies.

We live here in Ft Valley Va in Shenandoah County. We got hammered with rain. About 5 inches. Flooded out our road and both bridges to get off my rd. Still cleaning up the mess. All animals fared well though so no complaints!
