So, in this mite/flea conversation, someone suggested citric acid as treatment. I have read that one of the things you should not feed your chickens is citrus fruit, ex. oranges, lemons, limes. So if this is the case, why would you be able to put citric acid in their water and not have it kill...

The heat claimed one of my SBEL's. I was not very happy about it. I had gotten two of them from Bird Guy. They were doing great and laying daily. Then we had a day that was high 90's and no breeze. I didn't find her until I was checking on them after work. Needless to say, I was super bummed.

How did the Chickenstock in Idaho Falls go this year? I wasn't able to make it. Had to go to Boise for a B-day party. I gave my niece a couple of Coturnix quail for her birthday. She was excited.
