I had the same thing happen to hen of mine only it was the other hens attacking her. She didn't have any spurting blood though. I was get that too stop or she might bleed to death. Ours, the other hens basically scalped her. I used BluKote spray on it, once a day til it scabbed over good, then...- freestargirl
