    Yep. I use the words 'Down' and/or 'No' firmly while gently pushing them down. Do not pet them when they do it or say down/no in nice/soft voice. Once they get down, praise them, pet them, or give a treat, but petting usually is better. I especially like to train them with the Down command...

    Okay, you sure could be right! I have ND's but they've usually given me trips & quads and kid on Day 140- something. : ) Course, I did have a doe kid twins one time on Day 141!! Yep, I think you've got a point. ;)

    All goats are pregnant for a total of five months or 145-155 days. Goats that have 3-4 kids(such as Nigerian Dwarfs) tend to kid nearer 145-148 days . Your standard does tend to kid around Day 150 or past that because they have 1-2 kids. :)

    Yes. They are not familiar with your dog, thus followed their natural instinct thinking that he was after them. They will also need time to adjust to their new home. If they are scared of you, I'd suggest taking some time to sit in their pen each day talking kindly to them and offering treats...

    Is he going to be staying for a bit or is it just a day visit? I'd make sure that he's had a CAE test to make sure he hasn't got CAE; same for your does, too. Does the buck have a reputable owner/ breeder? Does he look healthy (eyes, hooves, general appearance)? Maybe having a memo service...
