I'm glad they're alright. I lost power 2 days before mine went into lockdown and the bator dropped to 70's even with a blanket over them. Luckily though everyone lived through it. I got 2 fluffy butts running around now and the others are due next week.- ChickenFox

I've ordered once through ebay and the eggs arrived in great condition minus one but the gentleman sent 2 extra in case so I still got more than I ordered. At 10 days in only about half were developing and at the end of it all 6 went into lockdown. Only 2 hatched and 1 of those was an assist...- ChickenFox

Look at all the adorables! Congrats everyone! My little one that pipped yesterday is doing the same as my Pip from my first hatch. It's just making a big hole at the pip spot and not zipping. :( I see it trying to wriggle but I don't know if it's stuck or just trying to get comfortable...- ChickenFox

I've got a pip! It's only day 19 but it's a banty egg and from what I hear they usually hatch early. Maybe when hubby and I come home from dinner tonight I'll have a chick. Green legs are typical of EEs due to crossing birds with yellow legs to those with slate colored legs. ;) I'm guessing since you say none of the parents have green that the roo must have the dark legs and the mothers are most likely yellow legged.- ChickenFox

I'm on day 15 with the oldest eggs and day 8 for the youngest. Coldest night we've had this year and what happens? Power went out for 4 hours. Soo.....3 of the 4 eggs I got from my MIL have started weeping and I've had to throw out. Everytime the yolk was scrambled. :/ They only traveled 20 mins by car so I'm not sure what happened. She has a habit of soaking her eggs overnight in water to help clean them when they're dirty so I think...- ChickenFox

Just had my first experience with a stinky egg. Opened the bator to do a quick candle and eww! Found the culprit quick enough though. One of the eggs my MIL gave me. I saw a pinprick where it was weeping close to the bottom so in the trash it went. Bator smells better now. :) She gave me 4 eggs...- ChickenFox

I have 4 RIR x eggs, 2 bantam eggs and 1 EE. I bought a thermostat for my bator this time so hopefully my second hatch will go better than my first. (2 out of 23 shipped eggs) Let the excitement begin again!- ChickenFox
