Great to see all the babies. I have only hatched a few Colloncas so far. Next year I will be hatching as many as possible! Letting my broodies do the work this year. It will be a surprise what I get.
Grannychick55 do you have any photos of your Colloncas. I may be interested in getting eggs from you. These are my young birds not all laying yet. I really enjoy them.
You need to check out this thread. Great info. My understanding is that EEs can be used with the Quechua to add more diversity to the Quechua. I have a few Sweet Potato Quechua that I have crossed with my Ameruacanas. The Quechua have a smaller head and body type. Much more wild looking...
Too bad about next year. I am sure I will have some eggs to offer up. Mostly projects... maybe some winter-faced Colloncas
We really should get a new thread started. Would love to discuss goals and others progress.
Here is a few pics of my Colloncas I hatched last year. My favorite rooster Sailor. He has produced some awesome offspring this year.
My Colloncas hen Lilac, wearing a saddle. She is raising her second set of babies right now...
My crazy Quechua hen with her beau.
And my personality...
