1 ml of the sheep drench has 0.8 mg (800 micrograms) ivermectin. Not sure what the dose should be, but it's probably 0.12 ml to 0.57 ml per pound.

I would use syringe to measure the exact amount, which is the same as the liquid, .5ml per 2.2 pounds. 1 gram of paste = 1 ml of liquid, both have 100mg of fenbendazole.
Panacur suspension *is* exactly the same as Safeguard suspension, both have 10% fenbendazole, but for some stupid reason you need a prescription to get liquid Panacur, but not Safeguard, go figure, lol, so just go to Tractor Supply and get the 125ml Safeguard bottle in the goat and/or cattle...
Lots of colored pictures! If you want an avian specific one, contact an avian pathologist and ask them if one exists or what they would recommend.

"The gapeworm is sometimes designated as the "red-worm"; or "forked-worm" because of its red color and because the male and female are joined in permanent copulation. They appear like the letter Y. The female is the larger of the two and...
I'm curious... how could a worm that lives in the trachea be seen in a pile of poop? Am I missing something? Do they also like in the intestines? Not trying to be a pain, just really curious, lol.

I have treated with both at the same time and there used to be a wormer called Trifen Plus that had both of them, so it has been done. If he were mine and I thought he had gapes, I would worm him.

Panacur suspension is 10% fenbendazole, so that's fine, but at 3cc per gallon I don't think they got enough wormer to do much good. If I were in your shoes I would weigh my roo and worm him accordingly, it sure won't hurt him and it *might* save his life. Fenbendazole is very safe and is used at...
I use 10% fenbendazole (Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste) for worms and if I suspected gapes, I would try to treat for it like the study suggests. Like you, I also have a new bottle of ivermectin that I bought before I knew about it not being a good wormer for poultry.
If you don't have...
I have never seen any published info on treating gapes with ivermectin, but there was a study done that suggests 20mg/kg fenbendazole (Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste) three days in a row for gapes. 20mg/kg is .2ml per 2.2 pounds. Email the link below to your vet...
