I have a small medicine dropper and a straw that I use to add in water. If need be, I have added 2-3 drops to the tops of the eggs. My eggs sit in cartons so the water runs down and soaks the carton increasing the humidity.
As for checking on the ones left that have not pipped yet, if you...
Ideal runs some great specials. The chicks at TSC get handled by many people, so exposed to lots of different things. ducks and banty chicks are on sale now. lately they have had over hatch specials on Tuesdays too.
Sorry you did not get your eggs to hatch but I would not give up till day...
you may want to check out how to assist that chick. It looks like the wrong end for a pip.

I manually did this with my 1588 last summer with eggs from my yard. I just unplugged it for 30 minutes a day at the same time ~ first thing in the morning. If I was to do it again I would use a timer.
I think it delayed the hatch a bit. I know it drove me nuts since I did not think o the...
All of the chicks made it out on their own. I pulled the first 4 out of the bater once I could see the others had zipped enough not to shrink wrap. So other than the 1 non fertile egg I tossed early on, mine made it.
1 mutt (barn yard mix) is out. I see a tiny beak moving in another mutt so at least not every egg is lost from the lack of power. I think the first two mutts that pipped are goners though. I just have not seen any progress from them. I guess they could be really slow. My 4 RIR each have a...
Our power was out for about 4 hours this morning so I'm hoping the chicks still make it. There are a 4 pips but they were there before the power outage.
4 of the 8 I have in lockdown right now are too dark to see movement. I can see the air bubble but that is it. The other 4 are much lighter and clearly were active.
I just locked down my small batch. They should hatch a bit early but it works out well for me.
I hope yours all hatch too. You sure will have pretty ones with the phoenix.
unless you are in lockdown I would candle tonight and watch for movement. I candle at night when I want to candle in the incubator to be just a touch gentler with the eggs. If in Lockdown wait 24 hours and smell a vent hole.

With the size difference in the eggs, do you need different incubators? Or just one with a fan? I know my still air incubator I use for hatching has temps that vary greatly by how high the egg is located in the bator. So bigger eggs have their tops closer to the heating element.
