This was an egg I had put in under a chicken. The first time for all of us. There was no liquid in the egg except for the dampness you can see on the feathers in the picture. -

Alot of them are not fertile from what I could tell when candling. I had planned to cull it way down today. I removed some eggs when I removed the divider the other day but I didn't want to change it up too much at once by taking most of the eggs. -

Sad news to report... seems Momma duck abandoned eggs again. It must have been just shortly after I removed the divider. It appears as one big scattered nest now and eggs are cold. Just wasn't meant to be -

She went to the pond today and fussed the whole time, lol. I removed the divider and got rid of the cold egg side. I candled but didn't really see anything but fertile and non fertile. I left a bunch of eggs tho cause I'm afraid of my candling skill. I will remove down to 8 this weekend. -
