well, I'm pretty sure that the buffs and welsh harlequins don't really have any genetic coding overlapping, so you would come out with a duck that has a more wild type coloring. It is likely a buff/welsh harlequin mix? That's the only thing I can think of

I agree on letting him see if he gets it. It took a day for my runt to get his feet, and last month I had a chick it took about 3-4 days, but couldn't tell it from the others once it did.
I dropped three of my first shipped eggs. They all developed, one hatched and two died in the shell, one of them had the worst scissor beak I've ever seen, probably from me dropping it. I'm talking like a 90 degree angle!
