Hi all!!!
It is a sad day! I just found out the pet birds we got for Christmas have to be rehomed. My child is allergic!
Not to the chickens.
To our lovebird and two parakeets.
Anyone want to adopt a lovebird and two parakeets?
Or know anyone who might?
Thanks for reading!!
It’s sad when you have to say goodbye.
But the good news is you have new friends coming and new adventures with them await!!
I can’t wait to hear about them!
Glad you decided to get back into your hobby! It’s wonderful your family is able to help!
Be sure to show photos! I love seeing people’s...
I am not sure if it matters to you but I called and asked Ventura grain and their grain is GMO.
I don’t eat anything bioengineered and don’t feed it to my pets either. Some people don’t mind. But just so you know.
THANK YOU!
I don’t have any seeds to bring.
Though I do have a ton of marigold seeds I saved from last year. Do people look down upon you if you don’t bring any seeds? I will write this on my calendar and probably go. Even if we just show up to check it out.
Thank you for this!!! I appreciate your hard work! I have a small child and don’t get a chance to call places without being interrupted.
What kind of chickens do you have?
It is always nice to meet a new chicken lover!
Thank you for this info!!
Can you tell me a little bit more about this? I see that it is kid friendly based on your sensory compost kids table part.
There is good potential I can make it!
Fresh eggs are the best! I have bantams and I have a hard time finding any around here. I got lucky and got 5 babies in July last year from TSC. Only one was a hen!!!! I kept the silkie roo and gave the others away. I miss them. I had to travel two hours away into CT for a few more bantam...
Sorry I didn’t realize I posted that to you.
I meant to anyone.
I hate how we aren’t allowed to do whatever ever we want on the properties we pay for. I’m trying to find a new house in a good town where I can have the kind of Hobby farm I want.
I wish I could just leave RI but I can’t for a while.
Wow that is shocking! My Husband worked with people who own roos in coventry.
Maybe the neighbors just don’t care so they didn’t get caught? Or maybe because they have more than an acre?
That is good to know.
Any idea what towns allow them?
I wish people were not told what they can and can’t...
I thought coventry allowed roosters?
Maybe because it would be a noise complaint you didn’t want it?
Hi! I’m in RI too. I know this is thread is really old but thought I would say hello!
Yeah I know what you’re saying.
I had to convince my husband to get chickens and when I told him I initially said 3. Then since we were getting chicks and they were straight run I convinced him on 5 because some might be boys. And I explained the odds of a girl are unknown. Well, 4 were boys...
That’s the best idea. Let the chickens do all the work for you! When I find my new house I plan on having a couple different coops. Until then I have just a small one with a few bantams.
What town are you in?
YEEESSSS!!!! That’s classic!
How do you like that style coop? How often do you move it? What do you do in the winter with the snow? How many chickens fit comfortably inside?
