    Finally dropped off my rooster today. Couldn't wait any longer, he started to crow this weekend at 9 weeks old. Was a chore catching him in the run. Every time I went to grab him, all the ladies would get between him and me. Guess the girls didn't want to lose their "man".

    Pretty convinced the one White Leghorn is a cockerel now. Besides the comb/waddles difference from the others, his behavior is becoming more like that of a rooster. Found him a new home on a local farm. Will be dropping him off this weekend before he starts getting "vocal".

    Chicks are 4 weeks old today. Moved them out to the coop yesterday (with a heat lamp). They are pretty much fully feathered and some were starting to fly out of the brooder in the house. Plan to keep them confined to the enclosed part of the coop for the next week. Hopefully the weather will...
