I actually obtained to Lavender Silver-laced Orpingtons earlier this summer. I think they are both going to be cockerels. They are in the hideous stage on top of being plucked before I got them but I'll post some pictured when they've feathered in more.

I am actually planning on doing this. I'm growing out the Lavender Orpingtons now. My birds carry but do not express the gold gene. Or at least I hatch chicks that look Gold-laced: There you can see two siblings. I'm curious how the Lavender gene will play with whatever is going on...
