    I used something called "serpentguard worked for me. serpentguard.com It is an organic repellent that snakes do not like the smell of. It will not hurt your chickens, cats, dogs, etc. I even sprayed it directly onto the nest.

    I just order a product called Serpent guard. Non toxic to chickens, dogs, cats ,etc. You can spray it directly on the nest. Seems snakes hate the smell ,but it doesn't bother other animals. Will let you know how it works.

    Love that solution, Especially, after eating my egg one day before hatching. Can you imagine eating a whole peahen egg. That is a big egg. We are about to hay our 100 acres. after that, it will be easier to see the varments.

    Mo, have not seen the snake, I have every opening covered. I have moth balls around the outside. We have a mobile coop so we move it a few feet about once a week.

    Thanks for all the advice. i think I will try moth ball first. Since my coop is mobil. It does have a few high places when we move it. I cant believe it could swallow a peahen egg. i will follow up with yall
