Well, it did come while I was on vacation! I checked the girls when I got home Saturday and there was a lovely brown egg waiting for me. I'm not sure when it was laid, as the boys looking after the chickens didn't check the nest boxes like I asked. I didn't eat it since I wasn't sure how long...

I am tempted to tell her the same thing. I'm sure she won't mind, as, when I told her she could have the eggs, she didn't look to pleased...lol. She's one of those who is skeptical of them unless they come from the store ;)

I have 7 chicks, all 18 weeks old at this point. I am leaving for vacation in one week, and will be gone for a week. I have my neighbor keeping an eye on my girls. I will be so bummed if my first egg comes while I'm gone!!! I have a SLW that seems to be ahead of the others as far as...
