    I would not pick them off. You are going to open up more skin to infection and they may bleed and it seems like it would hurt too! If you want to put something like iodine on them to make you feel better it would not hurt but just let them heal and fall off on its own.

    You may try softening them a bit first. Good luck. That has to be miserable for you both.

    Also make sure his eyelids dont seal shut. Ointment or vaseline willhelp

    As long as a chicken is eating, drinking and moving around fine I let them be. If they start to show issues then I would intervene. Fowl pox is one of those things that is usually just irritating and will go away.
