They look beautiful! So glad to hear they treated you great! Building raised beds next weekend and then shortly after that I should be working on the coop. So glad spring is almost here!!
I can't comment on that exact mix. My only 2cents that I can possibly offer is that polish have a hard time in the pecking order no matter the mix I have seen. If you head band their top hat so they can see, they probably will mix better. By doing that earlier it should help them acclimate...
I know it's not exactly next door to you but here is a breeder/small hatchery that has a very good reputation.
Dragonfly farm

thanks a ton chickenE. I definitely missed that! They do have a good range of breeds. Wake Forest is a hop, skip and a jump from where I work so that should work out great. We will definitely use them for the mixed coop. thanks a bunch for the help and recommendations. Hope everyone is...
Thank you for your recommendation. I had been keeping my eye on that small hatchery as well. Unfortunately it's tough to see what breeds they carry as they only let you know what chicks they have available right now. I will reach out and talk with them as I now have your recommendation :)
My hope is to meet them (i know not at their farm, but avoid shipping) I truly wouldn't mind even a 3-4 hour drive to any smaller hatchery to pick up my chicks and avoid the drive all together.
Also if there is anyone that breeds Wheaton Ameraucana Chickens in NC I would love to talk with you...
Hey all,
Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this local hatchery?

They have a couple breeds that my family will probably be interested in for our mixed breed coop that we will be building first.
Thanks all
