    oohhh... *facepalm* I thought it was some big thing that I was missing... but I do feed mine sunflower seeds I get a bag and mix it in with the scratch. I give them a scoop of the mix every day, except for garden time, then they get the vegies with bad spots They like them in the shell...

    I put a 75w heat lamp ( a red one) just above the waterer that I keep in the coop. That helped a lot. The outside water still freezes, but at least I don't have to carry in 2 waterers to melt/refill them. I shut off the well so it wouldn't freeze, so I have to go inside to refill their water...

    7.5" of snow here in little washington. 7.5 is the average I took from the yard. the most was a drift on the well house at 13.75" and on the lee side of the house I got 4.75" for the lowest totals.

    We have about 5" of snow in little Washington, and it's still coming down really hard! My ladies won't even go out in the run, they are staying inside where its a bit warmer. I have a 75w heat lamp over their water dish so it doesn't freeze, that warms up the coop pretty well and saves me...
