    Bad time of year to look for hens. Most people cut back all their extras before winter. Right now is CHICK season! Yay!

    My Sumatra pullets have begun to lay now. Unfortunately we have no male, so no Sumatra chicks. If anyone knows someone with an extra Sumatra cockerel, let us know. They are laying bantam size eggs, and are our only white egg layers.

    I have a couple of Lavender Ameraucana Cockerels that are being culled from the breeding program. But, I am over 3 hrs away.

    They could be made with the 5 ft. fencing as well. I thought about it, and probably will do that when I built the replacements for my layer flock. I rarely need to actually go inside these, since everything is right at the door.
