How old is the duck? It sounds like she's just getting new feathers in. Little white toothpicks sticking out sounds alot like new feather shafts coming in. Could that be it? Edit: Do a Google search for "pin feathers" and see if that's what you're seeing with your duck. Totally normal if this...- Orca5094
