Thanks, I'll treat them for 5 days then. I've just now noticed this but my sick one has been standing there puffed out, it seems her neck feathers were puffed out the most. Any ideas what that means? I just noticed it.
thank you 11mini! I looked into that and they have it at a local farm store, I will for sure use it. hopefully it will clear up the diarrhea and fix the problem.
Ok, if I get safeguard how should I go about giving it to them? Also, is there any remedies you know for stopping her diarrhea, or at least helping it a little bit. I tried white rice but she wasnt really interested.
That's pretty much exactly what mine looks like. And for an update I checked on them this morning and my "sick" one seems to be acting a little better and eating more, but the poop is still the same. :(
I hope your chicken gets better:) I'm having similar issues, mine has had runny poop for 2 or 3 days now. She still has color and doesn't look any thinner though.
That might be the case then, it's nothing too bad but they do have fowl pox. If it was worms would they all have them, and wouldn't I see the worms in the poop.
Could fowl pox cause them to act this way? I think they might be getting over a small case of that. A few days ago one other chicken had runny poo but now it's back to normal. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that.
I'll look into that. I'll keep a close eye one the other two and if they continue to act normal, then I'm not sure what I'll do. Hopefully she gets better, I'm staying hopeful just because she isn't acting too bad. I keep them all clean and well cared for hopefully she just ate something.
I'm crossing my fingers that she just has an upset stomach. Really she's just acting off, that and the diarrhea. She doesn't act or look SICK just, off. I hope that makes sense lol.
Thank you eggcessive! Good to know about not being contagious I was worried about me and all my animals. But wouldn't my other hens have the same symptoms. The other 2 act completely normal.
